Welcome To Lymington U3A
Lymington U3A was founded in 2001. Our aim is to encourage and enable older people in the Lymington area who are no longer in full-time paid employment to help each other to learn throughout life by providing facilities for leisure time and recreational activities.
U3A groups cover a wide range of learning activities and meet regularly in each others homes. They enable members to cover a wide range of learning activities by sharing their knowledge and experiences and developing their own capabilities by learning from each other.
U3A members regard themselves as both learners and teachers and arrange and support their own programmes as appropriate to their chosen learning activities. A monthly U3A social meeting, with a speaker, is arranged on the first Thursday of the month at 2.30 pm in The Lymington Community Centre, Cannon Street, Lymington.
Drop-In coffee mornings are held on the third Monday of the month at Lymington Community Centre, Fuller Maclellan Hall, 10-12 noon. This is a meeting to which new members are invited to meet a smaller group of members to enhance time for discussion.
